For this piece, Cho recorded key historical places in Seoul, filming the exact locations that are represented in the historical photographs provided by the department of archive at Seoul Museum of History. This video paints historical landscapes of those places while reflecting cultural memories that relate to her memories of growing up in the city. The project captures the historical moments in a dream-like context - connecting history, memory and, cultural landscape of the region.
2013년 부터 개인적인 역사에 관한 회상을 시작으로 우리나라의 역사적인 장소들과 문화재 예를 들어 광화문, 숭례문, 등을 중심으로 사진위에 그림을 그리는 프로젝트를 시작 했다. 이는 서울 역사 박물관이 제공한 우리나라의 역사적인 장소들을 기록한 사진들을 보고 그것과 똑같은 장소에서 영상을 찍은 후 저의 개인적인 기억과 연관하여 비디오를 만들었다. 이 작품은 우리의 문화적 기억과 역사적 풍경을 반영하며 과거와 현재가 오버 랩 되어 환상처럼 표현되는 작품들은 역사,회상, 풍경 그리고 지역의 문화적 특성을 연결시키는 프로젝트이다.
